Jessica here – thanks for stopping by! I started this blog because I wanted to have a place to talk about all of my interests outside of work. I find it is very important to work to live and not the other way around.
My intention is to live the most fulfilled life outside of my career (although I love my career and it is a major part of who I am as a person). You’ll hear about my travels, adventures and sustainably conscious choices in life. I have always loved photography and through my escapades (cue Janet Jackson), it has given me a beautiful backdrop to share my visions with the world.
I’ve had a ridiculous full life with lots of broken bones, illnesses, surgeries and undiagnosed holes in my wrist (this still makes me laugh). I’m basically one of the most accident-prone people you’ll meet but laughing through every misadventure I experience. After college, a doctor told me about the paleo diet, which healed a multitude of ailments I didn’t even know I had. I am conscious of the food I put into my body while living an active lifestyle.
Growing up as an athelete, fitness had always been a staple in my daily routine. I recently stumbled into my neighborhood cross fit gym, while continuing my other favorite activities: gymnastics, dancing, yoga, hiking, biking, surfing, snowboarding, and skating. You name it, I’m probably into it. I love moving my body; it is the healthiest form of medicine!
I want to make the world a better place and just like MJ says, you have to start with “the man in the mirror.” I’ll be writing about some of the ways I give back throughout my time on this earth. It is so important and I hope to inspire others to do the same.
When it comes to my career, I like to think of myself as a mixed bag of treats (Music Supervision, PR, Marketing, & Events). I don’t believe I have to do just ONE thing to be successful. I love what I do so I’ll be sharing music, inspiration, articles about the industry and my speaking engagements.
Hope you enjoy 🙂
